What Information We Process
Your IP Address (Temporary)
When you visit our site, we need to see your IP address to show it to you and perform security scans. However, we immediately hash (scramble) this information into an unreadable format. Within seconds, even we can't tell which IP was yours.
Anonymous Scan Data
We store general information about scans performed, such as:
- Country of scan (e.g., "United States") — no city or specific location
- Hashed IP prefix (e.g., "192.168.x.x") — not your real IP
- Scan timestamp (rounded to the hour)
- General security findings (e.g., "2 open ports detected") — no specific port numbers
Email Address (Optional)
If you choose to subscribe to security alerts, you may provide an email address. We immediately hash this email (convert it to a scrambled code) and only store:
- Hashed email (unreadable code — we can't see your actual email)
- Email domain only (e.g., "gmail.com") for statistics
- Subscription preferences
What We DON'T Do
No IP Logging
We never store your actual IP address in any database or log file. Not even temporarily.
No Tracking Cookies
We don't use cookies to track you across the internet or between visits.
No Data Selling

How We Protect Your Data
Hashing: We use SHA-256 hashing with unique salts to convert your IP and email into unreadable codes. This is a one-way process — we can't reverse it to see your original information.
HTTPS Only: All connections to our site are encrypted with TLS 1.3. This prevents anyone from intercepting your data in transit.
Cloudflare Protection: We use Cloudflare as a protective layer. They see your IP (necessary to deliver the webpage) but provide DDoS protection and security filtering.
No External APIs for Personal Data: We only use IP geolocation services that don't require or store personal identifiers.
Regular Data Cleanup: Anonymous scan data older than 90 days is automatically purged from our systems.

We display advertisements to support this free service. Here's how we handle ads responsibly:
- We use Google AdSense, which may place cookies for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized ads in your Google Ads Settings.
- Affiliate links to VPNs and security tools are clearly marked. We only recommend products we believe in.
- Ad revenue never influences our security recommendations or scan results.
